Head Coach Mikhail (Misha) Grigoriev
After immigrating to The United States in 1995, I immediately emerged into the New Mexico culture of Swimming and Water Polo. With three competitive years of swimming for Duke city under my belt, I spent the High School years winning 4 State Championships for Albuquerque Academy. During that time I participated in national tryouts for the Youth and Junior National Teams in Water Polo. I attended Occidental College where I played as a starting goalie for four years of NCAA III water polo, three of which I was selected to be captain of, as well as one year of swimming. I was also a member of the 2005 USA Maccabia Water Polo Team that competed and won Silver in Israel.
Most of my coaching experience comes from swimming, playing, and attending numerous sports clinics around the US and using the knowledge gained first hand. I have coached all ages, multiple sports, and at every part of day and night. I am quite excited to be back in New Mexico, the place where competitive sports began for me, to pass on the knowledge that I have gathered to the young athletes.
